The stress of leaving a dirty home that you rented can feel insurmountable! All the housemates are blaming each other for the dirty carpets and the stained floors. And sometimes, an apartment was rented out, but all the upholstery is filthy too. What to do? As many are aware, the landlord will usually ask the tenants to put down a deposit for the house. This money is used to combat any cleaning costs, the time and labor it took to diagnose and clean, any repair jobs, and other necessary costs it takes to get the house ready for the next tenants.
What you want to be aware of is these costs are basically up to the discretion of the landlord. They hire the cleaning personal, and will often charge you more than you would expect. Why risk not getting as much of your deposit back as you can?
All appliances should be cleaned when moving out. This includes cleaning the refrigerator, the counter tops, the hidden crevices of your home where dirt can build up, the bathroom, the sinks, the closets, floors, couches, chairs, ottomans. Quite a bit of cleaning is ahead of you before your move out date.
Some tenants do not have the resources available or the know how to properly clean stains out of carpets, rugs, and upholstery, The worst thing that could happen, is that the opposite happens, and without the proper knowledge of chemicals to use to relieve stains, they make actually become worse. One of us actually lived with a roommate who used bleach to try to clean the carpets. Yeah, not smart. Another cut a piece of the carpet out to provide a sample to a carpet cleaning business on what it would take to clean the carpets. What was he thinking? HAHAHAH!!!!

They can diagnose problems, give a solid and a great value estimate for the cost of the cleaning, and we swear, we will try to not poke any fun if you tried bleaching your carpet... You aren't the first.
